INTRODUCTION: PROLOGUE

Once upon a time, there was an old puppet maker. He had spent his entire life making intricate and lifelike puppets that he would sell to collectors around the world who had taken keen interests in his craftsmanship. One sudden day, the puppet maker passed away, leaving behind his collection of puppets in his manor. The puppets were left untouched for years, gathering cobwebs and all, until a group of curious teenagers stumbled upon the workshop. Perhaps they had been dared to do so?They were amazed by the lifelike puppets and decided to take a closer look. As they examined the puppets, they noticed that their eyes seemed to be following them around the room. Surely it could have been nothing, right? There were many wonders that resided in the puppet maker's enormous manor after all, it could have been one of his many inventions.

They had entered an extension from the previous quarter they had explored, hosting a variety of different miniature houses and theatres. Suddenly, there was a skittering noise, one of the puppets within the room began to move on its own. Its joints creaked as it slowly stood up and started to walk towards the terrified teenagers.

One by one, the other puppets came to life as well. Their wooden limbs moved in jerky motions as they surrounded the group, trapping them inside the workshop. The teenagers screamed and tried to run, but the puppets were too fast. They were cornered and had no way to escape.

As the puppets closed in on them, the teenagers realized that the puppet maker had been more than just a craftsman. He had created these puppets with a dark magic, or a curse of some sort that allowed them to come to life and seek revenge on anyone who dared to trespass on the puppet maker's property. The teenagers were never seen again, and the manor remained abandoned for years. But some say that on quiet nights, you can still hear the sound of creaking joints and wooden footsteps coming from inside the old puppet maker's living grounds. There is more to the motivation of the puppets rather than to simply haunt the property of their creator. A rumor spreads about the puppets, how they may be trying to become more than lifeless dolls, wishing to 'become' living through harvesting the organs of their victims and attempting to attach it inside themselves as their very own parts. But it's only a rumor, right?

The reader, you, for your time .

SETTING

The puppet maker's manor was an eerie and foreboding sight, a vast, looming structure that seemed to defy the laws of nature with how large the structure was. Its tall, blackened walls were adorned with twisted vines and wrought-iron spikes, and a thick fog clung to the air, obscuring the grounds.Approaching the front gates, one can hear the sounds of faint whispers on the wind, and the sense of unease running through the atmosphere. Inside, the mansion revealed itself to be a tremendous and mighty works of corridors and rooms, each one more unsettling than the last. The first district is the Marionette Quarter. Here, the puppet maker had created a disturbing network of strings and pulleys, allowing his marionettes to move in ways that were unnatural and unsettling. The streets were lined with abandoned puppet theaters and workshops. There is an extension to the Marionette Quarter, the Puppet Party Sector. Here, the puppet maker had constructed a series of small houses and theatres, each one designed to have accommodated nine different and unique puppets. But most of the puppets were long gone from whence they came, seemingly having a life of their own, moving and twitching even when no one was controlling them.

MANOR OF THE PUPPET MAKER

Making our way through the mansion, we come across the next district, the Hospitality Bay. Here, the puppet maker would have created and served a series of elaborate meals and dishes, each corner featuring a different type of puppet that would have assisted in preparing the foods. However, the time-worn puppets on display were grotesque and macabre, with twisted limbs and distorted faces that seemed to stare back at you with an unnerving intensity. Finally, the Terrace Expanse. Here, the puppet maker had created an enormous garden of intricate plants, hedges, and flora. If you were to awaken within this district, you would think that you were out in the deep wilderness. The residing puppets, each one more terrifying than the last, served to maintain the now-overgrown garden. From almost innocent-looking automatons to monstrous, spider-like constructs, the creations in this district would look like nightmares made from flesh. As we walk through the puppet maker's mansion, the sense of dread growing ever-stronger with every passing moment. It was clear that these puppets had come to life in a way that was not meant to be, and that the puppet maker had unleashed something truly malevolent upon the world. I wonder what horrors await in the shadows, and whether anyone would ever be able to escape this twisted and haunted place?
